“Forged in the Flames of Adversity”
Carlos Silva has been through a lot in his lifetime: traveling from Guatemala to El Salvador in the 1980s – during the height of their civil unrest – and founding an international shipping company that had step-by-step dock-to-doorstep package tracking managed by fax messages! Surviving the loss of his six-year-old son to liver cancer, despite the best efforts of himself, his wife and a team of medical professionals here in the U.S.
Having his cutting edge logistics operation usurped by the shipping companies that had been handling the shore-to-shore delivery, thus ending his first entrepreneurial effort. Emigrating to the United States, and supporting his family by driving delivery for PostMates, then becoming a driver for Uber, Lyft, SideCar and Solomon – simultaneously!
Then – came a series of health challenges so unbelievable and overwhelming, you’ll just have to listen to this episode to even wrap your head around it – and this is just part one of our conversation!!! Stay tuned for part two next week…
